According to Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security always prioritize and create favorable conditions for artists to unleash their talents and intellect, making them accompany the People’s Public Security forces in the process of developing and fighting and become a vital factor contributing to shaping public opinion, strengthening the close relationship between the people and the Party, the State, all levels of government, and the People’s Public Security forces.

In recent years, the team of People’s Public Security artists has played a crucial role in disseminating literary and artistic works on police-related themes to the public. Art is applied to nurture the human soul and personality, create significant motivation for building revolutionary ideals, moral qualities, behavior, and aesthetic orientations, advance spiritual life for officers, as well as build a healthy cultural environment. The conferment of the titles People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist upon People’s Public Security artists is a recognition and acknowledgment of their mature talent and artistic credibility. This is not only an honor for the individuals themselves but also the pride for the entire force.

Artists and relevant agencies of the People’s Public Security were requested by Deputy Minister Tran Quoc to continue effectively implementing Resolution No. 05 of the Central Public Security Party Committee on enhancing the quality of cultural and artistic work to meet the requirements of building a revolutionary, disciplined, flexible, modern People’s Public Security force. This aimed to improve the cultural and spiritual enjoyment of officers and soldiers, as well as prevent and reduce manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation.

Artists and entities of the People’s Public Security foster good relationships between the Ministry of Public Security and the Central and local Literary and Artistic Associations and promote their role in enhancing the ideological and artistic values of their works.

Agencies encourage discoveries, enriching the image of the People’s Public Security forces by organizing various cultural and artistic activities with the participation of artists, delving into the work and struggles of the police forces, especially those in remote areas, enabling them to understand and empathize with the challenges and hardships of police officers and soldiers sacrificing their interests to safeguard security and order, bringing peace and happiness to the people. Besides, it’s vital to grasp the artists’ wishes and promptly propose to the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to have mechanisms and policies to encourage artists to produce more high-quality artistic works on topics related to People’s Public Security Forces.

On behalf of the artists in the People’s Public Security Forces honored with the titles of People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Tuan, an officer of the People’s Public Security Theater, expressed profound gratitude to the leaders and ministries for paying attention to and supporting artists in the People’s Public Security in particular and the country’s artists in general. According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Tuan, the artists were honored and proud to receive the titles of People’s Artist and Meritorious Artist. This recognition was a significant motivation for them to continue their work and dedication, striving to create valuable works of art that serve the audience, officers, and soldiers and are worthy of being a soldier of the People’s Public Security in terms of culture and ideology.

In the People’s Public Security force, 8 artists were awarded the title of People’s Artist by the State, and 26 artists were awarded the title of Meritorious Artist. At the 10^th Meritorious Artist and People’s Artist awards ceremony held on the morning of March 6 at the Hanoi Opera House, three individuals were awarded the title of People’s Artist, including:

Senior Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Khuong Duc Thuan, a former officer of the People’s Public Security Theater, Department of Party and Political Work, and currently a member of the People’s Public Security Theater Artists Association.
